The richness of this wine is immediately shown in its bouquet, which is a harmonious combination of mineral and smoky notes with white flower and spicy aromas (curry in particular). The same bouquet is found on the palate, supported by plenty of fullness and lovely persistent flavours.
This is a wine for laying down and will take a few years to reach its full expression (from 2005). It will continue to develop over a number of years, reaching its best between 2007 and 2010). If you decide to drink it young, decant it to bring out the best expression.
This powerful wine may be served with a wide variety of dishes, such as fish cooked in sauce, white meats and poultry, various cheeses, foie gras or exotic dishes (curry, Asian dishes, etc…).
