Tasting notes: An immediate sensation of richness, with a ripe dark berry aromas combined with Morello cherry, spices and thyme. This is confirmed on the palate: the wine is full-bodied and smooth, but has retained its freshness and elegant flavours that turn more towards spices and liquorice on the long, languid finish.

Tasting suggestions: This wine’s elegance and richness is best expressed at a temperature of around 18°C. This “Grand Vin” is an ideal accompaniment to a wide range of strongly-flavoured dishes (game, meat cooked in sauce), red meat and many other foods. If opened now, it should be decanted to achieve its full expression. However, its richness means that it may be laid down for many years.
