Tasting notes:
This wine offers a wide range of rich, mellow aromas that include hints of smoke, dark berries, dried figs, roasted almonds and light tobacco. The same rich aromas are found on the palate, combined with freshness and a satisfying length.
Tasting suggestions:
The wine’s strength and balance mean that it can accompany a wide range of dishes, even those with very strong flavours. Try it with red meat, game or meat dishes in sauce. If served young, the wine should be decanted and served at a temperature of around 18 °C. It may be laid down for several years, adding to its finesse and ‘terroir’ characteristics over time.
