Tasting notes: This wine’s rich, complex bouquet combines notes of dark berries, tobacco, hazelnut and fig leaves with a background of garrigue scents. Powerful and rich on the palate, but balanced by a real freshness, offering a good framework for these aromas.

Tasting suggestions: The wine’s balance makes it ideal for gastronomic meals and difficult food matches. It will stand up easily to strong-tasting and spicy dishes. Serve at a temperature of around 19 °C; decanting will be beneficial when the wine is young. Although very pleasing in its early years, it will be interesting to see how it evolves. It has considerable laying-down potential and should be at its peak after ten years or so.
