Tasting notes: This wine clearly demonstrates its empyreumatic character on the nose, with notes of wet bark, roasting, cocoa and dark berries. This broad range of aromas is framed by a supple, velvety structure, supported by a pleasing freshness.

Tasting suggestions: This wine is more powerful than it may seem and is quite versatile at the table. It may be served happily with delicate dishes as well as more powerful, spicy foods. It’s at its best served at a temperature of around 19 °C and, when young, will improve with aerating in a carafe. With its supple structure it’s easy-drinking in its early years but has considerable laying-down potential. Given time, it may reveal other aromas and its original bouquet may be more fully expressed.
