Tasting notes: Initial aromas of citrus fruit, particularly orange peel, followed by hints of aniseed and white blossom against a slightly smoky background. There is enough acidity to ensure that this very fleshy wine remains fresh. The very rich structure provides a pleasing long finish.
Serving suggestions: This wine is rich enough to be enjoyed with a wide range of dishes and is an ideal accompaniment to oily fish, sauces and white meats, as well as cheese, foie gras and Asian food.
It will benefit from airing.
